Fall asleep to the sound of the sea with a relaxing break in Portnahaven, Isle of Islay. This beautiful village curves around a tranquil bay, ideal for family picnics and swimming. The Bay holiday cottage is situated just a stone’s throw from the ocean, with direct views into the sheltered harbour and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.

The Bay is a comfortable, family holiday home. The traditional, two-bedroom fisherman’s cottage sleeps four people with room for one more on a sofa bed. The front of the cottage sits directly above the sea, and there is a large, gently sloping garden to the rear, with barbecue area and picnic seating.

Portnahaven bay is home to colonies of seals which can often be seen basking on the rocks. Islay has many breathtaking beaches and walks, and is home to a variety of wildlife and rare birds. Famous for its nine whisky distilleries, Islay now holds an annual Whisky Festival in addition to the Islay Jazz Festival and Islay Beach Rugby Tournament.
