Fall asleep to the sound of the sea with a relaxing break in The Bay. This traditional fisherman’s cottage sits above the sea in Portnahaven, Isle of Islay so you can enjoy direct views onto the sheltered bay and Atlantic Ocean beyond.
The Bay sleeps four people comfortably, with room for one more on a sofa bed in the sitting room. There is a large, enclosed garden to the rear with a picnic bench.
Portnahaven is a peaceful village with a sheltered, sandy bay, a small shop and a local pub serving home cooked meals and drinks. Atlantic and grey seals can often be seen in the bay, basking on the rocks or swimming in the sea.
Islay is the perfect destination for family holidays, bird and wildlife spotting and whisky tours. It has many breath-taking beaches and walks and a relaxed pace of life. Islay is most famous for its distilleries, with nine now in operation – Ardbeg, Bowmore, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila, Kilchoman, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, and the newly opened Ardnahoe.
